The water gives the shot variety and contrast, even if you don't have much in the way of fall colors. We don't get much in Colorado, more yellows than oranges and reds, but more than when I lived in southern California. However, you do have some compensation is other areas ;>)

Nice image. Sorry you're missing out on the autumn display but I'm sure it'll be us that are jealous when the snow starts falling.

The water really gives a nice feeling to this, and the slight patches of orange pop nicely against the darkish green.
