I don't have a huge budget, and would like a lens that offers sharp images. I read some of your suggestions in other threads, so I know what you would likely suggest, however...
The Sigma 17-50 2.8 is now available for under $400. Do you think it would be suitably sharp or should I opt for something like the DA70? I would likely get more use from the Sigma, but that isn't the primary concern.
