That's fine. Let me know anytime as I am not actively selling it. I have an MESuper that I can add to the carton for the same postage. It is classic black and silver with a rather mediocre Eveready case.
It is missing the metal trim from on the top of the winder but it works in all respects. Extra $25 but no extra postage.

That shipping is brutal. Let me think about this one for a moment.

I'm not too worried about the mirror or seals - I have a donor. If everything is mechanically sound (shutter, mirror lock up, exposure counter, etc), I'm interested.

In the *ist DL2 serial number database you are listed as a *ist DL2 owner. I was hoping you could help me out. We are trying to add support for this camera in our Windows codec so that you can view the RAW PEF files in places like Windows File Explorer however do not have the camera to generate the needed images. Do you think you could take the shots and send them to me?
What I am looking for are JPEG/PEF pairs with an image from every ISO of the camera. For you camera you would have to take a still image at a jpeg and then switch to PEF in RAW and take the same shot. Please set the Color space to sRGB. Then take an image at ISO 200, 400, 800, 1600, and 3200. Just 5 shots for 5 PEF and 5 JPEG images.
    Thanks in advance.

I just read a post you made in camera and field accessories "Velbon vs. Chinese knock-off focusing rail?" back in 2008.
I have to agree with what you said about us prefering "Made in Japan" over "Made in China"
I've often thought that myself when shopping for, well, anything. It's a sad situation that we got ourselves into over the years and now "We the People" are pretty much stuck with it.
I do look for "Made in USA" as my primary preference when I'm shopping.

ok. I think the best way would be to simply purchase a macro lens and call it good. From what I've read and seen, the results are similar and it's much easier from several aspects. Thanks for the response!

how do you like the bellows you got on the camera purchase? I've been looking at getting one and would appreciate any details you could give me. I got it off this post:

Recently acquired from ebay, Pentax ES II, cosmetically and optically like new EXCEPT that Viewfinder blind is locked shut, and nothing I do (shutter-speed dial, battery-test button, exposure-compensation-dial, hitting it, praying) has any effect. I COULD just gestimate the distance frame bygolly, and shoot, and with that lovely Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 1.8/55, it would probably come out with a good photograph, ... but with such a beautiful TTL, it seems a shame.

    H E L L P !!!

Roger, I do not have Da 16-50 shots anymore. Glad that you are reviving the old zoom which is pretty much a good performer with a lower price in the SLR lens forum.

I am waiting for the mass email function to be ready. So I could mass email everyone for themes of time.
