Picture 31 of 35 from Album Single in October 2012 DA 300
October 5th. Seem to be developing a theme of rusting metal sculptures (if two days constitutes a pattern). Sort of a mascot of a local high school. Looks a bit like the miner (Day 4) -- have no idea if it was from the same artist, although the horse is at least 10 years newer. Again, not really the best use of the DA* 300, but one works with what one has.

Cool sculpture, and nicely composed. The busy background is a bit distracting, but what can ya do?
  2. psychdoc
Would have liked the background to be more darker. Would have brought out the horse in more contrast.
  3. pdophoto
I like the framing and the subject but the weather did not help.

Nice image of a cool sculpture. I imagine that's pretty tough to do @ 300mm. Good work!

Nice capture Don, the background is always hard in these and it's so totally out of your control. But great framing which I'm sure is hard with that great big 300.

With a b/w conversion you could effectively darken the background a tad, and bring out a little more detail from the sculpture. The framing is so nice.
