    Thanks for reply Hank,

I am using t70-300 more than one year, and did several trials; tripod, mirror lock-up,
aperture and shutter values, different light conditions.
Sometimes it produce good results, but generally not. I think it has focus problems,
and it needs very precise focussing in order to obtain better results.
Or my copy is not so good.
But when I look 55-300 results, they seem much more usable results than my tamron.

    Here some good examples;

    Hi,

I saw your review about the smc takumar 300 f4.
I have a plan to get one because I can't afford for neither dfa nor a* 300mm.

So, I have tamron 70-300, but I am very dissapointed about the sharpness of it.
if you had an experince or oppinion about
this takumar and consumer teles like tamron/sigma 70-300, pentax 55-300 etc,
    your thougths are heighly appreciated.

I want a much better 300mm than my tamron with a reasonable price.

    Thanks
    Ali

    Photographic Equipment
I use LOTS of different cameras & lenses.
As of August 2009, I had a Pentax Spotmatic with 55mm f/1.8 and Spiratone macro belows which I used back in the 1970s. However, as of October 2010, I have several Spotmatics and several dozen M42 lenses -- mostly Takumar or Vivitar, which I use primarily on my Sony DSLRs. As of October 2011, I'm mostly using Sony NEX with lenses of various mounts; the lenses that come in Pentax mounts, I generally review here -- I now own about 100 lenses.
