Ron,
Saw an old Denver Botanical post of yours (nice photos and composition) on the Pentax forum (just joined) and could use your advice. I'm interested in getting back into digital from my old film days and I'm thinking I'd like to invest in a K-1 with 28-105mm DFA. Do you know where I could put my hands on a K-1 body to see how it fits my hand? (The Nikon D750 fits well.) I live in Longmont but can't find s store that stocks it in the whole Denver metro area. Do you know of one? Short of that, if someone you know or you're interested and you have a K-1, I'd gladly buy you coffee and see it and chat about your experience with it. I'm not sure of how these forums work, but let me know and suggest how we do this. I'd meet you where you like.

Yes, PM a mod - a what a GREAT idea (I'm about to edit my reply the same). The signature is more for effect, but my schtick does need a little rest, I think..

Hi,
It was great meeting you on Sunday, hope you came out with some good pics. I was happy with one I got of the pavilion and the moon, then I also did a composite image of downtown with the moon (where I wanted the moon to be!). How about you? I went to Rocky Mountain Arsenal (it was less than 10 min away) and some things have changed since I had last been there… luckily for the better. They have a new visitor’s center and you are actually allowed to drive on some of the roads now including one that goes through the bison area. That was a huge plus. Not sure if they still have buses that take you down other roads, I would assume so though. Saw tons of deer, the bison herd, some coyotes, and lots of waterfowl. It opens at 6am and the visitors center opens at 8am I think. Anyway, happy shooting and hope you get that k5 soon! You will love the high ISO handling.
