Hello Marcus, hope I remembered your name right!
Yes, I got some pretty good shots, the best were with the 'A' 135mm, but disappointed with the FA 100-300mm, nice big moon image but soft overall and the color rendition is slightly off.
I posted one of the 135mm shots in 'Post Your Photos'. I'm still PP'ing the rest!
I'm going to make it out to the arsenal soon, it sounds like a great trip, especially if they allow driving to the more distant parts. I don't mind waliking, but carrying al my gear is another story!
It was good to meet you too, hope we meet up again.
I've just joined the Denver Digital Meetup photo club, it's not a formal club actually, no meetings or dues. Members suggest interesting sites, organize the shoot, then anyone who wants to attend sends an RSVP and meet at the site. Last Saturday was the Basilica at Colfax and Logan.
I'm still saving for the K-5, I guess I'll get the original one, they're around $700-$800 now, a good deal!

    Hi,
It was great meeting you on Sunday, hope you came out with some good pics. I was happy with one I got of the pavilion and the moon, then I also did a composite image of downtown with the moon (where I wanted the moon to be!). How about you? I went to Rocky Mountain Arsenal (it was less than 10 min away) and some things have changed since I had last been there… luckily for the better. They have a new visitor’s center and you are actually allowed to drive on some of the roads now including one that goes through the bison area. That was a huge plus. Not sure if they still have buses that take you down other roads, I would assume so though. Saw tons of deer, the bison herd, some coyotes, and lots of waterfowl. It opens at 6am and the visitors center opens at 8am I think. Anyway, happy shooting and hope you get that k5 soon! You will love the high ISO handling.
