I will eventually buy a prime lens...right now I can't afford it and the DA 55-300 lens is the best bang for your buck. I love mine...although with wildlife you always want more reach no matter what lens you have. lol My sister has a Cannon 400 prime and still wishes she had a little more at times!
I think you would really enjoy the 55-300 though...check my posts out in the next week...I'll be posting lots of bird photos from Hiltonhead, S.C.

Jan - 02-22-2010coachteeterI see that you're into wildlife photography and you have a 55-300 lense. I'm interested in getting a telephoto in this range for my K7. I also want to get some great wildlife shots, but don't have the lense for it yet, as all I've got is the 18-55 mm.
Do you have any suggestions.
