Picture 24 of 31 from Album Single in August
Daylily portrait - A little break from the monochrome. The daylilies are late this year but I am glad to have some since there were no blooms at all last year. An ultrawide lens with busy bokeh is not the best for this subject matter but c'est la vie!

Pretty good macro for the DA15 lens...

    Nice one!
I am partial to day lillies for so many reasons.
The represent summer in all its forms, are so loyal and offer fantastic photo ops.
  3. mattt
Nice composition, and the contrast really punches up the blossom.
  4. Venturi
    Love those colors.
  5. repaap
Nice shot! I like soft bokeh here too.
  6. patolds
Comes up very well, muted lighting suits the subject. And pretty sharp to boot! Congrats mate!

    Cheers Paddy

Two day lilies in a row. Love it. I would agree that the background is a bit busy but not annoyingly so. Nice.

Love everything here. The fence to the greenery to the daylilly popping out.
    Great portrait!

Still very well done and it looks like you'll have many more chances at them.
