Picture 21 of 31 from Album Single in August
Standing proud - For some reason the majority of my images this month are portrait orientation. This is no exception. I see this German Lutheran church regularly on my way home and today the sky was just right to provide a dramatic backdrop. It was nice in colour but the B&W brings out more of the detail.

Excellent B&W photo, and you are absolutely right about the sky, indeed adds drama to the photo!

Point Perspective and contrast! That lens is really excellent for this shot, and you chose very well!

Wow the cross is glowing, nice conversion and PP.
  4. Bramela
An outstanding B&W architecture shot. Yes, the sky certainly adds a lot to the photo as well.

The cross actually has a thin neon trim but it isn't really visible in daylight.

That is a really strong conversion Joe. I like how you turned the blue all black, it gives a powerful mood to the image :-)
Oh and thanks for covering for me! :-D

NEver realized that about the orientation, but revisiting your album and your right! - The sky is really great in this, and the building is a work of art in itself. Good capture.
