    Outside of noise, which is unavoidable, this is sweet. Astronomy is fascinating and I can't wait to get my children a great telescope.

    Yes, I could not get rid of the noise without compromising detail. For the basic setup I used, the result is acceptable I think. It is a combination of seven 30s expsoures with varying ISO settings between 800 and 3200. How the 6400 got into the exif data I have no idea.

    Lens was a 600mm f/6 semi-apo telescope mounted on my old Vixen Saturn mount, unguided, but ofcourse tracked.

    My own son is just a bit too young to use a scope (at 6 years), because looking with one eye is too hard for small children. And the bino viewer cannot fold down enough to be useable for a child...)
