    Hi Walt:

I just bought an unopened box of Cokin Dedicated Creative Flash. It was brand new, never been used, I couldn't resisted so bought it.
When I received the package, I wanted to try different ring flash immediately, but not sure if this flash is safe to use on the Pentax DSLR camera.
I searched online couldn't find any answer. Do you know is it safe to use this flash without an adapter?

    Thanks!

    Michelle

Thanks very much for the filter information Walt. I do not use filters nearly as much as I should, and my budget is not ready to stock up at the present moment. Good luck in moving these on to someone who can put them to good use. ivan

I go through Union fairly often. In the summer the back roads are better for travel than the main roads and my route south takes me through Union. Beautiful area! I went to the fair once back in the 70's.
What I haven't done yet is get there to photograph Clary Hill when the blueberry bushes are red. I've seen some amazing shots though.

    Be well!

Yeah I was focusing on the river (body of water) not the flowers, but I'll try and keep up in the future...thank you.

this is my 10th visit and my wifes 8th. A number of those have been fleeting visits as we ahd a daughter working in Whistler Canada, she now works at Copper Mtn in Colorado and back here (ski patrol / avalanche technician).
And most of those have been in the southwest, so am familiar with canyons, Las Vegas etc, but have never done the Valley of Fire or Snow canyon....but will now.

Keep in touch and we will see what we can work out when you come over, we lived near Brisbane for 16 years so have friends up there (now retired back home to South Australia). Understand your dilemma when it comes to visiting, we are flexible.

    Thanks for the help.
    Cheers
    Grant

Thankyou Walter, your assistance is very much appreciated. Lets keep in touch re: Oct 2019, our son lives in Sydney and we don't get over there anywhere near enough, so any excuse is welcome. (& I'm about as scientific as a flea...but I pour a good red or a beer. :-) )

Walter, I am getting excited, and hope we can definitely meet. Keep me posted and I'll plan to keep that time pretty free. Kruger sounds good, I am itching for a couple of days there. And I did update my gear on my profile.

And you are an inspiration on the Forum. Me included.

    Stay well.

    Hi WPRESTO

My apologies for this late reply. The gear
Tamron 70-300mm (usually the lens I use for the Macro shots)
    Sigma 70-300mm
    Sigma 28-80mm Macro lens,
A Newer Screw on Wide Angle/Macro glass
    and lately the Raynox 150.
The Karl Zeiss 28mm F/2.8 I occasionally use for macro stuff.. The glass from the Newer set works quite well. This is an example of that set up.

Which image of the Ladybug? This one? If so, this was shot with the Tamron 70-300mm on Macro setting.
