Sorry to be so long replying. Nothing technical about it. I simply cut the proprietory lug off (LX, 645, etc) and I had a universal mini jack that I could expose the wires on and swapped them around until it worked. It was the low tech method for dummies and I did not bother to record the connections. - 04-20-12garywakelingHi I noticed you posted that you had modified the ir remote cord to work on the K5 with a mini din plug, do you have any more info/pics on how to do this,(wire colours for which contacts etc )
