Picture 13 of 30 from Album Single in November 2010
Nov. 18 - "Refraction" - f/4, 1/100", ISO-100
5x Multiple Exposure

This started as a picture of a CD, then I kept trying different lighting techniques/angles.

I ended up doing a 5-time multiple exposure, moving the light source so that it's reflection was centered in each disc (for each shot), thus giving each disc a blue outline/glow. This also created the varied prismatic refractions of color in the other discs.

PP consisted of some curves/brightness adjustment and a bit of saturation adjustment.

Do you think it's too dark? I can't make up my mind about that...

I think the contrast and brightness is spot on. It makes the vibrant colours stand out. Nice shot!

Love it. Well conceived, and interesting how that conception developed for you. Very successful process, and I enjoy knowing the process... well done!

I don't think it's too dark. I think it looks great.
