Oh, Gary, there you are! I never checked my guestbook messages! In fact, I didn't even know there was a "guestbook" until now. I need to get back on this forum board and get active again. It is a wonderful place to learn from fellow Pentaxians.... It was through this board that I learned enough to upgrade to a K-7 from my K100DS (which I kept as well and am glad I did). Otherwise I'd have been lost on what to get!

People do say it's a small world. Yes, the heat here is oppressive. My daughter-in-law is visiting from Florida and it's limiting our outdoor activities. No rush on the money, I'm not going anywhere.

Enjoy your K7 and use the book & Pentax manual to get the most out of your camera - it's an impressive DSLR. I loved mine and have moved on to a K5, only for high ISO ability.

Stay cool and take advantage of the Pentax Forums site - I've learned so much from its members.

Got the book yesterday--perfect, just what I need! I love my k-7, but am not getting the most out of it. This book should help!

I will get $$ in the mail to you asap--enough to cover postage plus some extra for your time. I was surprised when I saw where in NY you're from! I'm from Genesee County originally. Both my DH & I have most of our families in that area. We were just in Clarence over the July 4 holiday visiting my father-in-law in a nursing home. In August I'm going up to a family reunion up in Oppenheim Park (lots of relatives in the Tonawanda area).

Hear you all are having the wickedly hot weather we are here--unusual for it to be as hot in western NY as in south-central PA....
