Thank you for sharing your experience and letting me look at your picture. It's a nice picture and from looking at that, the Sigma 30 mm does seem good enough.
I'm still a bit concerned about the camera. But if it isn't the camera, I might try and exchange the sigma for it's 50 mm counterpart or the Pentax DA* 55 for the added bonus of weather sealing.
