Okey! It doesn't seem to be the T4 version. But from what other people have said it SHOULD work with the 5d. Canon isn't really the ideal brand for old lenses.

Very nice to use wide angles on ff and other m42s too ofc.

The best way to find if it is a T4 is if the aperture markings run in two directions on the lens barrel, and also if there's a bump near the mount (this is the mount fixing ring) - I would guess that as it is an interchangeable mount it will do fine on the 5d (as the design had to be universally compatible)

Hello, thanks for the answer. I also came across that blog. Too bad there aren't much info about the lens, and no info at all how it works mounted on a 5d.

It is an m42 mount probably modified then? I haven't had any possibility to try it - it's a guy who's selling it on the internet. I've asked him some questions, but I don't know how much he knows (it's pretty cheap) and he hasn't replied yet.

I thought I'd best ask someone over here at the forums first, there are many experts here.

Hello, how do you think the Soligor Wide-Auto 21 3,8 will do on a EOS 5d? Do you know if it protroudes enough to hit the mirror?

Othervice, have you got any possibility to compare how much it protroudes to the 55 1,8mm takumar or 50 1,4 takumar?

I'm thinking of getting one, but it might not be worth it if it's protrouding too much.

    Thankful for answer!

Jussi - thanks for the care package, received it today. Filter looks brand new. Curious to try that film, will reserve it for some gritty -retro type subjects. If i get anything worth sharing i'll send it on. Best regards. Dennis

Jussi - just to let you know, the ext tubes are on their way - they went by the slowest boat so you will probably see it later in the week. Best regards.

    Nesster,
I saw your instructions for changing a Pentax 645 220 film back to a 120. Thanks for the info! I have just started using the 645, developing my own and in the frames toward the end of the roll, the corners are not getting exposed (almost like an oval shaped negative). I am having the same issue on 2 different film backs, so I assume it is a mirror issue?? Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Bogie

Hi Nester - i saw your reply from earlier today regarding loading 120 onto reels - i've started doing my own 120 B&W and so far I've had no problems (except i shot a roll of color film, forgot it was color and developed it in extol - why is everything orange ???? lol) - anyway, forgive me a stupid question, you said in your reply "un roll the film with the paper onto the reel" do you mean one can leave the paper with the film and in effect load them onto the reel and develop the film with the paper ? i've been seperating the paper from the film while in the changing bag, and just loading the film onto the reel - it's been a pain in the butt, but i thought the paper might affect development.
