Don't forget I have weaned myself off it, I have a much lower tolerance. Works for me anyway.

I've almost weaned myself off of coffee. I occasionally use it for it's laxative affect.

My beverage of choice is Roiboos tea, no caffeine, very high in anti-oxidant's. I also like Bundaberg ginger beer.

I was like that when I worked in the computer field back in England. New job, thrown in at the deep end, on call 24/7. I would be called up to ten times overnight, every night. It reached the point where I was answering the phone robot fashion in my sleep and reading the daily report when I got to work to find out how many times I had been called and what problems I had resolved.

You must have times like that.

I recently got a British series on DVD, it's called 'Doc Martin'. It's a light hearted drama (the kind that English television does so well) about a 'stiff upper lipped' English surgeon who suddenly becomes traumatised by the sight of blood. He has to retrain as a GP and goes to work in a small fishing village where everybody knows everybody's business. He is very stereotypical, gruff, awkward, zero people skills. There is also a thread running through the series about his developing relationship with the lady head mistress at the local school.
Sometimes I don't want something too serious.

It's a bit strange for me to watch it at the moment. My father died of Huntingtons Disease and at sixteen my step mother told me I was probably going to get it as well. There was no test back then and so I had twenty years of what 13 has been going through. In a way it is cathartic for me to watch it but at the same time it freaks me out. (I tested negative when I was thirty eight BTW).

I seem to remember you mentioning once that you are a fan of "House". They showed a new episode tonight. Such incredible writing and brilliant characters.

Now you're making me jealous. Except for the calamari, I have a philosophy that I won't eat any animal that is more intelligent than my pet dog.
