    I was born and raised in the Kansas City area. In the mid 1980s I graduated from the University of Kansas with a B.S. in Photojournalism. I subsequently worked for several years as a photojournalist at small daily newspapers in Kansas. I no longer work as a photojournalist, but my wife and I enjoy spending our free time photographing for ourselves and for non-profit organizations.

    My first camera was a wonderful Pentax MX. While I have owned cameras from other makers, I prefer my Pentax gear.
