Me too: I enjoyed reading your well constructed article on hand-held long exposures. The advice on tucking the "meaty" part of arm onto knee, or alternatively elbow onto "meaty" part of leg, I found good advice.

Excellent article Heie!
Can't wait to get out and start practicing the techniques!

Great article! You reminded me of things I knew long ago, but had not practiced with photography. Thanks for laying it out so nicely.

Just read your article on long exposures. That is an excellent read! Thank you for taking the time to write and photograph this.

Good advice in your article but some glaring mistakes on the physics side of things. I myself learned the exact same techniques in the army (I served in the IDF) as well and apply them to my photography today but projectiles simply do not stop in mid-air, nor do pendulums stop at the bottom-most point of their swing - they merely lose their vertical motion-vector but maintain forward motion at all times. A projectile only stops when it lands and a pendulum is motionless at both ends of the swing.
Other than that: excellent article!

Well done Heie. I am sure that anyone reading your article will come away with at least one good tip for hand held shooting, if not several. I know that I did. Thank you !

Great job on the article, Heie. I've discovered some of those techniques on my own through trial and error, but your tutorial showed me lots of places I can improve and some tricks I doubt I'd have figured out on my own.

Excellent article, great information, brought me back to my M-14 days. Stay safe!
