Hey Sandy. Quick question on image quality and the DA 15. As you may or may not know I purchased a used Sigma 10-20 F4-5.6. While the images taken with it were very sharp in the middle, the edges tended to be a bit mushy. And it also didn't help that the lens was slightly de-centered (apparently common with this lens) on the left hand side. Anyway I decided it just wasn't good enough for me and sold it for what I paid for it ($210). I tend to compare most lenses to my FA 31 and F*300. So I'm wondering if the DA 15 will be sharp enough for me or should I just use my FA 31 as my all around wide angle "landscape" lens. Your thoughts? Do you find yourself cursing the DA 15 IQ or not?

    Hi Sandy,

I've been reading some posts regarding K3 vs KS1 / 2 and noticed you mentioned in one thread that you have both the KS1 and K3 - I've got a KS2 and I'm considering buying a K3 to use instead, more of pro body with more features although to be honest I don't really feel I need 24MP, I feel 16-20MP is the sweet spot for crop sensors.

From your experience, how would you say the IQ compares between the K1S / K3 , is the 24MP worth the upgrade?

    Thanks,

    Tom

    Sandy,
Thanks so much. Bill (wstruth) entered instructions on posting photos from Flickr. I've been able to that. So much easier.

A one pound box is $41.50, a two pound box costs $45 and a three pound box is $50, so I figure $5 per pound after the first pound.

I have two accounts on eBay where you can see most of what I have for sale. A few of the items listed on PentaxForum are not listed on eBay. I can send you pictures of those items if you are interested. The prices on PentaxForum are lower because I pass the savings (no commissions) on to PentaxForum buyers. If you see anything there you are interested in I will sell it outside of eBay at a discount. Thanks.

I really need you to give a PP class. Id like being able to achieve adequate and consistent sharpness and colors as I see in your pictures.

    Hi Sandy,
The lens I am shooting with is a Sigma18-55mm, for some reason Lightroom will not read that lens as anything else other than a 70-200mm. I can't find the setting to change it or a place to enter the correct lens information.

    hi Sandy,
its Darren in Newcastle, how are you.
I noticed your post in the thread where the SMC and HD DA15mm were compared, I don't own any primes as yet and admittedly I don't presently do enough photography to justify buying them and have missed the boat on buying them at a great price, like everyone that has followed the DA15 thread the sharp star burst is the outstanding feature and looks to have been lost with the new HD version.
So I have a dilemma, jump in and try and track down a SMC or hold off and see what people are doing with the HD version, there is a SMC version I have found on Ebay that is described as "never used" which I could have delivered for approx. $650

    any advice appreciated

    cheers
    Darren
