I received it quite recently in error - I thought I was buying the K28/2. I have the K28/3.5, which is the second best 28 Pentax ever made. The F28/2.8 is right behind the K - reportedly a VG++ lens. I have no need for the extra light at f/2 for focusing so I'll sell it. I paid $450 KEH EX condition and I would sell it for 30% discount net to me through the Marketplace here if you want it.

There's nothing fancy; 99% of everything I do are basic controls in Lightroom. I treat every image separately though - no presets ever. I start at the top of the control panel with crop and white balance, then exposure, then presence, then colour channels, then sharpening and noise reduction in that order. My assumption is that they are listed in that order for a reason

Once I get somewhere near what I was aiming for I might go back and tweak a couple of things, which is more often than not turning down some of the original adjustments.

I think it boils down to having a critical eye, and having an idea of what you want to achieve before you start.

The lens is perfect and in very good cosmetic condition. It opens all the way and works well. The only thing wrong with it, is that the camera can't read f2.8 and change time in Av. So you need to EV-1 at f2.8.
It has some front focus but I haven't had any problems. I have adjusted that in AF adjustment.

Sorry about not getting back sooner with this reply. I have the vivitar version of the samyang lens, but other than cosmetics they are the same. The lens works well with the AFA adaptor, and is a great weight savings over carrying my K135/2.5 as well when city bound, BUT the AFA is very expensive, more than the 85/1.4 typically. The reason I used it is because I already had the 1.7x AFA. I have had this since I got my PZ1 in 1991, so for me it was a no brainer, so to speak. I would not get the AFA solely for this purpose, but if you also have a K300/4 and want limited AF with that lens

H Carriangas, I used to have a website but I am retired from guitar making, I only do it now for special old customers and my production is now not more than three per year (I used to make up to 12). I only make Spanish guitars (classical and flamenco). If you google pepe vergara, you may find some of my guitars on the net. I actually have not sold all y Pentax guitar, but mostly because Ihave been busy. I moved to Canon about 2 years ago, and am now selling the Canon too, keeping only one lens. I am moving finally to Leica.

As I understand it, you have the chance to buy a 1000mm mirror lens that is a Pentax lens modified with a Nikon mount. I have read what others have read about changing/replacing the mounting portion at the rear of the lens. This is an area I am unfamiliar with. My experience is with Nikon mount lenses modified for use on Pentax K-mount cameras.

In my experience, any Nikon mount lens will mount on a k-mount Pentax camera - the top of the lens may be at the side or on the bottom, but it will mount and hold. It will NOT click into place (and therefore lock) without some modification.
