oops Jussi, so eselite did edit some of his posts, and so did I, and deleted one - I want to protect our presets hehehe..
Sorry, that now makes two posts of you in sequence..

    best regards
    Andreas

ok Jussi..but really I felt for Rino!
but what I shall do is...if I find a preset next time in Japan, where chances are that I find one cheap, I shall send it to Rino for my cost.
btw. I just finished this afternoon taking sample photos of the same set up ( this is in a quite well lit 'winder garden', outside it has abt. - 5 degrees celsius..brrr. )11 different 50/55mm lenses ( but mostly Taks ), 5 35mm, 6 28mm and 5 24mm lenses.
It was done very fast, and some are a bit overexposed. Not sure if I shall post my findings, but certainly they will help me to decide which will go with me on the next journey to the east which will start in abt. 2 weeks.
the Auto Tak 2.8/105 is quite disappointing, but I am not sure if that really is due to sample variation. Looking into the lens a bit sideways from the front there are some white lines, could that mean fault of the cementing? but I can spot the same white line on the photo of Rolf's copy shown at his original post at mflenses

Andreas, the Truth is out there and is all good. I wouldn't worry about the price effect... several people have been expressing preference for the Auto etc Taks. Plus, in the digital world, the presets are easier to use again, due to the lack of auto diaphragm support.

If the auto / SMC flare tests work out well, it will reinforce the SMC thing

    Hi Jussi,
well, I was serious about deleting the posts. Rino from Argentina said he wanted to find a preset, until now they have not been expensive but rel. rare, and the S-M-C already IS expensive. Now that it is said that the preset is better it's price may well surge. I was not sure if it was a good idea to post my results at mflenses..

    greetings,
    Andreas
