Two and a quarter years after the second earthquake in February 2011, we went to see how the city was recovering. While much of the rubble has been removed, we were still dismayed at the work yet to be done. Empty highrises waiting to be brought down, and shops as they were the day they were abandoned. A city with carnage everywhere, Here is a sample of what we saw just wandering a few blocks of the city centre.
