I've replied to k1man by PM, but basically I think the Godox trigger is for controlling Godox flashes. I've suggested you look at Cactus V6/II for controlling Pentax flashes. But I'm not experienced with Godox equipment, so best to get confirmation by asking in the Flash Forum. Good luck k1 man with getting some remote control over your flashes!

Hi Nigel, I have been reading about this Godox flash controller but am completely confused, I have 3 AF540FGZii flashes and a cable with the connectors for 1 flash to K1 which can control the other 2 but would like to know if I bought this Godox controller thing could I just plug that into the hotshoe and control all 3 flashes with no cables etc, sorry to jumble it up but I am at a loss as to how it works, thanks Ian

I've just seen the latest messages here from SharkyCA and macman24054 .... sorry I don't check here too often.

SharkyCA, Godox are not 'Dedicated System' flashes, so HSS would have to come via Radio P-TTL triggers. The only solution I've seen for Godox is the Cactus V6II with a 'trigger stack', not something I would want to do ideally. Come back and give more details on how you'd like to use flash, eg on camera or off, if you want multiple off camera flashes etc.

macman, when using radio triggers you don't set the flashes to their wireless modes, as these are only for Optical Wireless working. I think you would set the flashes to P-TTL mode. I do not know if the Acons can do 2nd curtain sync, but the member Clackers uses them, perhaps a message to him to ask would be worthwhile, or a post on the flash forum.....

I have the Acon triggers and 3 AF360's. I was attempting to fire two in wireless mode HSS with one on the Acon. I had them set to HSS. As I added the wireless ones in they fired but did not change the exposure. So I checked the AF360 manual and it said to trigger wireless HSS I need to set the wireless guns to front curtain sync. Just making sure I am understanding this correctly.
    Thanks,
    Jeff

Hello Nigel, Perhaps I could pick your brain a little? I have read some of the "pdf" file that is on the PentaxForum about flash capabilities but I am totally confused, I recently purchased a K-70 and returned to Pentax after 50yrs and find the digital world rather daunting. If I want to buy a flash like the Godox and use it for HSS with the K-70 what would you recommend?

    Thanks for your time!

The Flash Guide has advanced further now, and I have released the 'Supplement' PDF, which is 40 more Pages covering aspects not previously dealt with. It goes side by side with the 2nd Edition of the Guide, and will remain until everything is combined into a new 3rd Edition, probably during 2018 sometime. Both Documents can be downloaded from links in the original Homepage Article here .... Comprehensive Pentax Flash Guide - Articles and Tips | PentaxForums.com

Thanks, I hope it is helpful .... Weddings are always a real challenge, and not just because a flash is involved! Good luck, hope it goes well.

Hi Nigel ... I accidentally stumbled across your flash guide and also wanted to say thanks. I downloaded it and am now trying to figure it all out in less than a weeks time as I need a flash for a wedding. YIKES! Thank you for this though ... it looks like it's going to be quite helpful
