Hi Ray, and thanks! As per my PM to you, looks like I need a better proofreader ..... I will look again at that section and re-write / clarify that it is the ISO that will vary . It might be worth mentioning too that the ISO range is set in the Auto-ISO Parameters screen on the camera. Thanks for spotting this

Hi Nigel, I have been meaning to do this for a while now. Thank you very much for your flash system guide. That has to be one of the best and clearest explanations of how Pentax flashes interact with Pentax cameras. I learnt a lot from it.
But there is one bit which I confuses me. On page 23 when talking about TAV mode you said "Aperture and shutter time values will adjust in response to your ISO adjustments...". My understanding and experience is that once you set aperture and shutter speed in TAV then the camera sets the ISO and that aperture and shutter speed don't change. Am I missing something here?
    Regards, Ray Allen.

Thanks! It was a lot of work but the sort of work I like doing!. MJSfoto1956 and hman, sorry I dodn't see your questions originally. I have copied them into the Sticky forum thread about the Guide and made a reply there, in the interests of all seeing it.

quick question: do you know if Pentax supports PTTL with two Pentax flashes attached to the hotshoe via a (custom) split cable? (Canon does, Nikon does not).

    Thanks!

Hi- am reviewing your outstandingly informative guide to Pentax flashes. While I understand the obvious benefits to the top-of-the line Pentax dedicated flash, I am not quite ready from a budgetary perspective. I do own an old and working (at least the last time I tried) Pentax AF280-T flash that I've used on k100D, K-x, and now on K-50. I am having a hard time wrapping my head around all of this new (to me) info, and was wondering how I can best use this flash, as well as options for off camera flash with triggers? wireless? I don't know what I don't know! Hope you don't mind the PM.

    Thanks,
    Harvey

Thanks, I've done it for the enjoyment .... I'm not a pro writer, and I doubted there was a big enough market really. But who knows, if this guide can develop more and expand to cover other aspects of Pentax DSLRs it might end up being book sized in future. Wouldn't it be great to have a new book on Pentax! You never know .....
