Hi marcusBMG,
I have been testing my old f3.5-4.5 Sigma 70-210 apo lens and have come to the conclusion that it is sharper than my m series 200mm f4 and 135mm f2.5 K series lens. Also it completely lacks CA on my K-1 digital camera! I think it is a really good lens and intend to accumulate more images to demonstrate it's qualities in the near future.
I am wondering how best to post images -without loosing resolution- in order to demonstrate qualities such as sharpness?
I am hoping you could give me some advice on this matter?
Cheers Broo.

Would you be interested in more Adaptall-2 Lenses.?? List is 40A, 46A, 103A also a Vivitar 70-210 A mount. None of these are worth anything to me. They are all clean, clear optics, and fully functional. If I list them in the martkplace only the 40A would be above 1 dollar. I will be listing 3 AF lenses and a Metz 52 AF-1. You could have the adaptalls for the cost of shipping. let me know.
Alan.

Oh, I forgot to tell you that i fitted the 60-300 with the chinese tripod mount by using a bit of a very firm rubber cut into a thin strips as shims. It fits very nicely over the aperture ring with the PKA mount under it. A 200mm f2.5 Soligor that I own received a mount with just a strip of paper from an election advertisement as a shim. The 75-250mm 104A was harder for the mount was larger in diameter. It took 2 thicknesses of that firm rubber gasket making material. I have a 65mm inside diameter one on order from Hong Kong for the 52A. Thank You so much for referring me to your posting/article about how to make them fit.
Sincerely, Alan C. Wilson

OOO I just had an idea! I bought some sheets of UHMW-PE which is extremely slick plastic for the boat trailer bunks and keel tray under our latest sailboat, a Morgan Out Island 30. The stuff is so slick that the boat kept moving around as we towed it home from Maryland. I have some of that leftand I thout of using a long QR plate under the lens with a semi-circular attachment toward the end under the long focus ring with the slick plastic fitted to it so there would be no friction from the support plate. I think I will try building that and let you know how that works.

Unregistered User Hello,
Follow-up to our discussion on flapping mirror:
Do you know if the problem is dead and buried with K-S1(2)? I have googled this issue a lot, but could not find anything.

Unregistered User Didn't see your new entry in the 'Mirror Flap Data' thread until now. I have sold the culprit lenses; hence I will not be able to perform any further tests. I look forward to seeing how the K-S1 performs with fully manual lenses. I am also curious to know why no such problems occur with the flagship models.

I just saw you are located in North Wales.
I was there just once, and the occasion was a sad one. My aunt, who had lived in England near the border to Wales, died at Christmas 1997. My uncle had arranged the lunch after the funeral service in a restaurant just over the border in Wales.
But I was employed for a couple of years by an UK company, so I did do several times some work for them in England; and, as the HQs of my branch were in Dalkeith and Livingston, I stayed quite often in Scotland in the Edinburgh area. But never made any pictures. When I was in UK, the days were extremely busy, and in the evenings there were usually invitations for dinner in some restaurant by the company or Scottish colleges.
