Hi, Tony.
I'm afraid I'm not too familiar with Pentax equipment these days. The last Pentax cameras I used were the ME series. The usual prime focal lengths preferred for portraiture are 85, 105 and 135mm. I use the old manual Pentax lenses, Takumars, on my Sony full-frame DSLR and really like them. You would need an adapter (easily found and cheap on eBay) and an "ordinary" 50mm Takumar would be an equivalent 75mm focal length on an APSC camera like the K100D. The SMC Takumar 50mm f1.4 is a very highly regarded lens and common enough so as not to be too expensive (again check eBay). You would have to manually focus but could use Aperture Priority to adjust the shutter speed to the set aperture. I hope this helps.

Hello Andrew,
I am in the market for an excellent Pentax Lens to be used exclusively for portraits, both indoor and outdoor. If you can recommend a Pentax Digital Lens for this purpose, I would be very grateful. I currently have the 18~55mm kit lens for my Pentax K100D Super camera, a Takumar F 70~210mm. and a Pentax-A 50mm 1.7 lens.
Regards,
Tonytee
