Yes, the burst speed matters a lot. I miss the reach too.
-
The burst speed is gonna hurt a bit. I may have to invest in a longer 2.8 in the future....
-
Makes sense then. You'll get a big bump in low light capacity with a 2.8 on a K1, albeit at a cost in reach and burst speed.

Hey Bret,
Thanks for the heads up. I actually have a Tokina ATX Pro 80-200 2.8 that I had planned to use with the K1. While the 60-250 is sweet....it's also half my ticket to my K1 upgrade. I tend to shoot a lot of low light situations where the F4 had been a bit too slow.

Hey Jezzeppi,
I have a K3 and have recently gotten a K1. Depending on what you are shooting, you may not want to give up your 60-250 f4. The removal of the metal baffle renders it FF, and does no discernible harm to the lens on a crop sensor. That's been my experience, at least. It is also a fully reversible operation. Thought I'd mention it.
What do you usually shoot?
