Hi Carol,
Sorry I did not respond to you. I have not been on the forum since I sold my gear. I am getting a little older and found that after about 2 hours in studio with the K-1 I could barely raise my arm. It was hard for me to let go of my K-1, but the Sony mirrorless suits me now.
I am glad you figured out the macro on that lens. It was a beauty.

Sorry! I figured it out, I thought not only did it have to be @300, but also the barrel extended via the other scale. When I withdrew the barrel using the other scale, switch worked great!
I'm more than pleased with the sharpness of this lens! Really enjoying it, so much I just bought another Promaster; a 28-105.
Thanks again!

Hi; today for the first time, I tried the Macro on the 70-300 Promaster. I cannot get the switch out of Macro now, with the barrel fully extended @300. Is there something I'm missing?
Thanks!
Carol
