    OzzRod, thanks for pointing out my error in explanation of the 13 star US flag. In my effort for brevity, I called the flag a U.S. Colonial flag. It is a flag representing the 13 colonies that became the first 13 states. Because it represented the 13 colonies I chose to call it a colonial flag. It is still a United States of America flag.
