Hi,
although i am in northern nsw, i would like to join up with the group.
visit adelaide occasionally
might be lucky, a visit may coincide with a social event, or a photo outing
i have been using pentax slr cameras since 1980 (ME), but getting very disenchanted with q1uality of "00" series, continued use of 2nd-rate "made-in-china" components, and recent marketing policy in aust.
but, i am hanging in there, thanks to my lovely little "retro" Kp
Sold my 4.5 yr old K-50 "travelling" camera (AA batteries), before it failed. (decided to carry Kp as travelling camera). I bought a K-70 as a backup camera, purchased from B&H, NY, so i could get a 4-year warranty, which has CRK as an 'authorised repairer'

Hey - nice shots. Looks like a day at the fair!

You must have had a bit more wind - the shark floated to earth as we arrived, so we missed it. But that sky was so classically blue. Did you see the Japanese battle kites? I got a few of them, but I think the most intense image was the orange fish.

I really must do some processing. Managed to get a stack of shots, and that o old Tak 80-200 came into its own - just long enough for the job. I scored a bit of dust on the sensor during a lens change though, so there is a bit of work to do first.....

I need to get my sensor cleaned too! I tried to blow the dust off with a new blower I bought in Sydney (not a rocket blower), only it put about 35 spots of muck on the sensor (and probably everything else). I'll probably get a refund, but the cost of cleaning may be a bit harder ($130!!!).

BTW, when are you off to the new job? We'll have to catch up before then.
