No, I have an Acratech plate I install when using my tripod. The PD plate is too small. And like you, I thought those arcaswiss jaws wouldn't be doing the anchors any favors. Plus I imagine that if that was an issue, we'd of heard of it before. PD is looking hard at the issue, I've sent them both the anchors and the plate. From what I could discern is the back and forth motion caused the plate to saw through the Slide anchor, PD seems to agree. So far I seem to be the only one reporting this failure issue. They're concerned about a manufacturing flaw in their new an improved anchors.
I like my Clutch (no issues with the Clutch anchor point) and Slide a lot. Ergonomically, they're the best system I've found so far. Going to continue to use them for now but just going to be extra extra cautious about the anchors. They're really the weak link in the system.

Hi David.
I recently read your review of the Peak design clutch strap.
I have one and am really happy with it. Thankfully I have not experienced the failure that you have.
I just wonder if it is possible that you use a tripod with the bottom plate and have inadvertently damaged the anchor by pinching it when sliding the camera into position?
I noticed the failure has occurred in the same place on both occasions.
I find the clutch strap to be an excellent accompaniment to the K-1 and would encourage those who are concerned about the weight of the camera to consider using the clutch strap.
But your experience worries me.
