Welcome to 121st edition of the Pentax Forum's Picture of the Week! This edition covers photos taken between July 11 and July 18, 2010.

Thanks to Jimbow for hosting last week.Another first time host her so let me know if something isn't right.

POTW is a great place to show what you're shooting day-to-day with your Pentax cameras. It gives us all a chance to virtually visit with one another, to get a glimpse of what it's like where others live and where they've been, and to extend the same invitation to others to share what we've been seeing.

The best pictures can only be taken with the camera you are carrying with you, so have you camera with you and keep always an eye on the things which are and happen around you.



Again same rules as before:

1) No theme, just post your favourite pix.

2) Let's keep it to under 6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week.

3) Any Pentax camera or Samsung SLR is fine, whether it's film, P&S, or DSLR.

4) Date: Sunday 4 July 2010 to Sunday 18 July 2010. Enter anything you shot last week or during this current week until the thread closes. Old shots with a new look from post-processing during the open time period are also welcome.

5) The current host will appoint the new host as an invitation via PM. If possible, the new thread will be linked to the previous one and the new thread will start between Noon EDT and 5PM EDT on Sunday. If the thread doesn't start, please contact Peter Zack, Moderator via PM.

@jmschrei...Thanks for hosting! Just a quick note regarding the dates for POtW. The "week" runs Sunday-to-Sunday with the end date being one week into the future. The start date, OTOH is one week into the past. This allows inclusion of film images and shots taken away from a computer over a weekend. So the "week" is actually two weeks. (See the previous thread as an example.)

Thanks for pointing that out Steve. I did know that but somehow forgot it my multiple efforts to get the thread up today. I'm not tech savvy I admit and my internet service is spotty lately but the cable guy is not due to visit until Wednesday! (So if I am slow with hosting duties you know why.)

Anyhow, excellent colourful start to the week! I am looking forward to seeing more.

Wish I could type today so I could comment on alll the great shots taken this and last week. I haven't shot much these two weeks. But finally got out yesterday for a bit.

PinarelloOnly, love the shot of the kite festival. An added bonus is the chance to capture great summery clouds.

Tamia, as always wonderful vibrant images of water and nature, like that curious Pepsi bush. And thanks for the heads up on my missing image, t looked good here but I have tried re-linking several different ways. I am trying to embrace the new Flickr process (with tips from a related thread) but it is not the cleaerst process.

Photolady, I especially like your young cardinal. I do miss them living out west here. He looks like he is sporting a mowhak!

And eccs19, love your colourful birds. Where did you find them as I know they are not Ontario natives?

Finally, I just returned from some day surgery so my computer time may be limited the next day or so. On the plus side, everything looks great with a little Percoset!
