Single in March 2012

Yes it's a new month and a new lens choice!

Everyone is welcome, veterans and newbies alike.

The basic idea of the challenge is

Take a picture each day using the same lens for the whole month (it's ok / inevitable to miss a couple of days - so don't worry)
Upload the picture to a "Single in March 2012" album in your album space on the forums or you can use Flickr (Single Challenge link) or other hosting service
Post the picture to the daily thread here.
Comment on other member's pictures. All comments will be warmly received from the basic "I like it" to "Well, I think you channelled Ansel Adams wonderfully!"
Have fun, learn lots about your camera / lens combination, and yourself!

EASY!

You can freely select any single lens to use for the whole month, and it's OK to use extension tubes, macro add-ons, teleconverters etc. However, please include the lens details when you are posting your pictures.

If you are unsure how to post pictures please ask in this thread or check the threads from previous months.

There is no fixed theme for this month, but we the group may be open to theme and inspiration suggestions

And it's fun too!

I have intent... but time will be crunched so I know I'm going to blank at least a couple of days. Lens TBD... maybe a telephoto this month as I've really only done sub 35mm focal lengths,

I really want to shoot a short telephoto, was thinking FA77, DFA100WR or K135/2.5, but need some wide angle for the street art.

I had purchased the 18-135 lens, but had to RMA it as faulty, and it won't be back until mid march.

... thinking...

I picked up a right priced M42 Adapter used today - genuine Pentax variety... if only STak 85/1.9 would come available for sub $250 CDN... I"d be tickled...

I was thinking 50-200 or maybe the K300/4 prime.

I think the 300 might be a bit much! The minimum focus distance and weight would be the biggest problems.

K300 = tank.

Min focus is like 13 feet or 4 meters.

The 50-200 is remarkably small. I've actually gotten in the habit of pocketing it in my winter coat while I walk around with the 21 or 35.

I had planned on joining March but after Casper's definite diagnosis of heart disease she deserves a little extra attention, work will be crazy as we approach fiscal year end on March 31 and I am taking a Leadership course and have yet to crack the first text...SO... I will sit this month out. I really enjoyed January and February but don't even have a lens calling me for a go round right now. If vet bills don't wipe me out a bonus due next month could even put a new lens in my hands for April. Good luck to all who venture on in March. I will watch and I will be back!
