Hate to see a good thing die so what the heck I will start this thread

Feel free to post any topic you enjoy that was phtographed between June 8 and June 22.

Rules as before:
1) No theme just your favorite stuff.
2) Let's keep it to about 4-6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week .
3) Any Pentax camera is fine, film, P&S, DSLR (or Samsung DSLR)
4) Runs for 7 days <Sunday Date> to <Sunday Date>
5) Enter anything you shot last week or this current week until the thread closes.

Thanks for getting it going this week Dave. Great Pelican??? (Alberta??) Shot. I don't know my birds or global warming is worse than I thought.

Not much from me but I am happy to say the K10D with Rev 8.1 (back from warranty service) is working great. Even in near dark the focus is fast and accurate.

So here's a different kind of macro. Like a dope I left my camera bag at my son's place (350 Kms away) and it has my FA 50/2.8 macro and Viv 2x TC and 60mm Ext tubes. So this is the AF 1.7 TC and FA50mm/1.4 Cropped a bit with a bit of shadow recovery but otherwise out of the camera.

Mawell1295 - nice stylus man - mine usually had some counter weights (pennies) - that is the second reference to vinyl I have seen today awesome

Look like you're getting along very well with DA 55-300 . I'm impressed . Though my fav is your flag photo: Nice , clear against a bright sky . Good job with the 16-50 !

Peter : Beautiful bee shot . It's my luck that I often find bee that going deep inside the flowers ! Gotta hunt more , I guess .

maxwell1295 : I used to have a room mate who was a DJ in college . Picking up quite some tips from him but gave it all up when I moved from Midwest to California . You shot bring back some nice "flash back " !

My share : I've been playing with the Pentax 1.7X F AF Adapter + Vivitar Series One 105/2.5 Macro lens . A poor man's FA*200/4 if you will .

Another flower shot from me. K10D/FA50mm 1.4 I just loved the colour of this one. Unfortunately the site resizing gives that 'jagged edge' look.



maxwell1295 Cool shot of the turntable, I like the sense of motion ans the angle. I still have mine and a couple of milk crates of albums. Those milk crates were great before we switched to metric. Could hold a hundred albums perfectly. Nice daisy shot with the ant. Good exposure.

Dave, Those 2 lenses render wonderfully. I like the pond shot and the Canadian flag looks great against the sky.

dantuyhoa. The aliens are neat. What is that plant? I'd like to see the same shot without the TC.

garth1948, nice spot and beautiful colours. So when you say winter it must get down to a bone chilling +15°C?? Here we'd be growing corn and sunbathing at the beach in those temperatures!!

We grow corn and got to the beach when it is around 40C.

Peter Zack, that is one gorgeous flower shot. Not only do i love the red and yellow together, but the center of the flower looks great. Do you know what type of flower it is?

I was out today in between raining periods and spotted this parked car. the colour of it really caught my eye. Had the M 50/1.7 on the camera at the time. This is taken straight from the cam and only resized.

Tran - Not a big deal to start the thread - Maxwell1295 already volunteered for next week. Thanks for comments. I really like the DA 55-300 and the DA* 16-50 is a keeper as well.

Your shot now that is alien! What type of Animal / Mineral / Vegetable / Fruit is that? Well done.

Maxwell1295 - Nice flower and dew / rain drops - the tiny ant is a bonus!

Garth1948 - very scenic fall shot - at the opposite end of the globe we are a few days away from offical summer (21st June I believe)

Peter - Yes I have been pleased with the DA* 's. I was not sure on the 50-135 as it is not a native focal length for me , but I am working on it. I usually try and go real wide or very long.

The colors are very vibrant on your flower. I have debated the 50 1.4 I have the 1.7 wondering of the 1.4 would offer much more - this shot seems to say yes

Aml - Thanks the Flag seems to be a hit. I hear you on the rain that was pretty much all last week. That is a 'unique' color - can't say I like it much, but should stick out in a crowded parking lot for sure.

You disgust me We do as well although it usually invlolves a trip to the airport and bam 10 or 12 hours later Beach !
