Welcome to POTW # 34

This week's photos will cover these dates: Sunday October 26th till Sunday November 8th.

Let's keep up the high standard of shots we have seen over the past weeks.

Rules as before:

1) No theme just your favorite stuff.
2) Let's keep it to about 4-6 images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big each week .
3) Any Pentax camera is fine, film, P&S, DSLR (or Samsung DSLR)
4) Runs for 14 days. Sunday October 19th to Sunday November 1st.
5) Enter anything you shot last week or this current week until the thread closes.

Stormy times over Horseshoe Lake - and there are faces lurking in the clouds even though Halloween has passed...

Both with the kit lens and circular polarizer on the K20D

Sysb - thanks for the comments - nice series - I love the spider web. I had to do a double take on the chocolate - nice shot.

dantuyhoa - thanks - it was a much needed break as several weeks before work was very very busy.

Kevin - nice shots. Setting for a Steven King novel.

Alan - nice series - I do love the red fall colors. We don't have enough of it here and it has been so windy lately not many leaves left anywhere but the ground.

Tom - nice sunrise shot ! I see the birdman is still birding - great Heron shot as well.

Keep'em coming folks !

Here's a couple from the Philadelphia Phillies World Series Parade. It was estimated that that there was approximately 2 million people along the parade route. For those from Philly, it was a long time coming.

Some of the players...

Everyone wanted to save the memories....

The trophy........

Smoky Mountain Fall

Just returned from the Smoky Mtns. No PP done on any pics yet but thought I would post a couple of my favorites.

This one surprised me - the scene came out so much better than I thought it would.

Still learning to slow that water down.

I haven't had a chance to review all of the shots yet as Nels has the 2 8GB cards I used for the majority of the wedding. I got to the church a little early and got in several shots of the girls primping before he arrived with the official cards for the shoot.

BTW, that is not Gaussian blur in #3. That's accidental roll on the zoom ring.

Heymissjo - I like the first one - great colors and very calm water. #2 is a little darl for my taste, although I really like the branch sticking out. Good job.

Jim- ahh weddings there is soo much going on - nice captures of some of the mayhem ! I think the zoom creep worked
