As a newbie at street photography I constantly deal with uncertainty about how close I can/should/dare get to a person when taking a photograph.
I'm sure the veterans here have worked this all out by now, and I hope one day I can get more comfortable with it.
This video was interesting to me for that reason.
(Javier if you don't think this has a place in the thread let me know and I will remove it.)

What camera did you use for these (e.g. Hey, Shorty) and did you use auto or manual focus for the candids? Thanks.

I am also wondering who out there uses a K5 for street photography, as opposed to a smaller camera.

Here are a few from my visit to the Occupy Maine protest encampment this week. One of the Occupiers broke out into song without prompting or warning after a very brief introduction as I was asking him what he was going to do that night as there was a large snow storm coming and the city was making them take down their tents.
