This happens when a new camera comes out, particularly one that tries to be ambitious and push the envelope in some way. Sony will be doing some fixing before all is said and done...

It's called, Using Customers As Beta-Testers, meaning that Sony didn't debug thoroughly before going into production. In software development it's called, Never Time To Do It Right, Always Time To Do It Again, meaning that meeting a release schedule is more important than delivering the right product -- ship crud now, spend a couple years doing maintenance. Sony has a reputation for delivering rather imperfect products. Ugh.

Sony is scam.
Today Sony said we will reproduce real one...
That mean is it's not a real one.
Fake one.
They paid $2000 for camera and lens.
How can we call them beta testers?

A little dramatic, don't you think? Tell "them" to have some patience. As recall, lot of K5 owners went through a "debugging" period last year. Happens quite often with brand new, first off the assembly line electronic gadgets.

Well, if 60% is an accurate number of problematic A77s, that's a bit excessive.

I haven't read anywhere else about that percentage other than on this post.

We've had our A77 for 2 weeks and 2 weddings without problems and decided to sell our 2 A55s and get another one. The 2 weddings we shot were both abnormally bad lighting conditions and the A77 handled them with magazine quality photos right out of the camera

Pretty much every camera is going to have a couple bugs still when it comes out, that's why they have firmware's to fix 'em. It'll just vary from camera to camera if there will be something wrong with it.

And when it doesn't happen at all (K-7), people still find things to whine about.
