olympus ep 1 with pentax lenses

but from now on i can use all my pentax lenses with it!!!

one month ago i bought the olympus ep1.
today my novoflex adapter arrived and i have a little review with photos for all interested.
the adapter cost 169 euro. first time i see it today i realized how superbly made is. incredible building and finish. the operation are all smooth. before mounting the lens u have to turn the blue wheel, that's for aperture i understand. there is a lever to unmount the lens. all is very very smooth.
i have already to test the lenses and how they work, but using manual lens with the ep1 is a joy and very easy. You can mount all the pentax lenses, also those without the aperture rting, thanks to the blue aperture ring control in the adapter.
i'm very happy to have the adapter. this camera will become a good second body with my k7 for traveling, and a light combo to stroll around sometimes.
next days i'll test iq iso and all.

some images

the ep1 ( a bit oof sorry)

k7 against ep1. it's incredible how little is the k7, not so bigger than ep1, considering the level of performance and technology. kudos pentax

pentax k20d against ep1

the adpater

with the 50 1,7

with sigma 105 2,8

with pentax 16-50

with pentax 35 macro 2,8

Does the Novoflex adapter allow you to control Pentax aperture ?

Does the Novoflex adapter allow you to control Pentax lens aperture on DA mounts?

On lenses like your 16-50 SDM and 35mm LTD Macro which are made without a selectable aperture ring at lensmount. You mentioned something about rotating the blue ring on the adapter.

this adapter let you mount all the da*lenses thanks to the blue aperture ring.
sincerely i have already to check the aperture control with the da*, but in the site of novoflex is specifically said this.
the adapter cost 169 euro for those interested

That looks pretty cool. I'm interested in seeing sample shots with an ep1 using Pentax lenses.

Wouldn't mind seeing some pics either.
The missus recently bought the Pen, so she could borrow one or two lenses...

If you're so inclined, could you post a few more pics or relative size between E-P1 and K7? I have the E-P1 (and K20d) and am considering selling the E-P1 for the K7 as my street/travel cam. The K20d is a fair chunk bigger than the E-P1, but I'm thinking the K7 isn't as tall as the the K20d.

The E-P1 is a great cam though - I had the Voigtlander adapter for awhile along with a Nokton 40/1.4. You can mount damn near anything to the E-P1...

You can mount damn near anything to a 4/3 camera, that's the aim...

I'd be curious to see actual shots taken with this combination.
Thanks

I recently met the founder and "brain" of Novoflex and he is a very nice and genius person.

When asking him how be it that the novoflex adapter adds an aperture ring for lenses missing it you could see how proud he was of this achievement

He wouldn't tell me how he did it

Adapter with this feature (like the Pentax K adapter) are more expensive than adapters without.

Looks like a red ring on the lens (at least on the left) so I'd guess Canon.
