Ivoire, thanks, felt good to get out and shoot last night. My Maine Coon died
Nov 30th, and I've been down in the dumps, since. I was testing a newly
arrived Canon EOS-1n, too, last night.

Some great entries from you guys!

Well, still struggling with this little camera, but here are two from tonight:

tunnel at night

DRIVE/DON'T WALK

Canon A490 using night mode, wide screen, BW conversions in VirtualStudio

This month's contest has forced me to familiarize myself with this little camera
as most of the time I shoot film.

really great entries, chubasco! and right on the theme.
the tunnel, I find quite spectacular.

I think we can safely say you mastered the camera.

There seems to be hope for film p&s again.

Bart, thanks, too kind, I'm keeping my fingers crossed about film, but not the
end of the world if it doesn't happen.

Chubasco, those are great entries, glad you are joining in. Based on the current PnS "debate" it looks good for film in future competitions. I'd hate to see it removed even tho I don't shoot it.

Commence teh Festivities

Just for grins, does an iPhone 4s count as a P&S? Edited in Media Impressions for Pentax from my i-10. The actual photo is quite a bit darker but enhancing dynamic range and denoise drew out detail.

Color accuracy is really remarkable considering the light, especially the Victorian love seat in the foreground. Unfortunately the iPhone camera hasn't enough depth of field to pick out the individual lights hanging on the mantle. Seems to be optimized for facial snapshots.

Media Impressions is a BASIC editor; great for blog posting, as iPhone is so commonly used. Really quite an awesome toy for $200.

(Really crappy snapshot but it IS multiple light sources).

From file:

As usual, Pentax Optio P80. A set of exposures (3 or 5, I can't remember yet) merged with Photomatix.
