K-7 weird sound after shutter release

Does anyone else hear a static like sound for about a quarter second after shutter release, followed by a click? I can feel something vibrating before the final click, and that's with SR off.

I don't think I heard this sound yesterday...the camera's only three days old.

I'm also noticing weird static noises when in Live View or Movie mode. I turned off SR to make sure that wasn't the sound.

I uploaded a WAV file of the shutter sound. Can anyone confirm this as normal?

...and yes I'm using firmware 1.03!

Maybe I am not hearing it, but thats what mine sounds like.

Edit: I am also well over 4k on the shutter accusations.

Please check that you set the camera to single-shot (and not continuous shooting).

Mine sounds like this in AF-S, and not in burst.

That is a normal shutter cycling sound.
Can not comment on the static noise.

Shake reduction is never off.
I believe that noise is the SR.
Whatever it is, go out and take some pictures and stop looking for things to go wrong.

It's fine. Mine has sounded like that for over 4k accusations. Since I bought it.

Go take some photos!
