Please Advise! for K100D Super

Just got k100 but there appears to be a knocking in side as if something is lose when you tilt camera back and forth. If you shake it a little the knocking seems quite wrong. Is this normal or should i get i sorted.
Thanks

That's the Shake Reduction. The sensor is bouncing around in there. If the noise stops, you can no longer use SR.

I wouldn't be too sure.

I just got a k super a couple months ago and it doesnt rattle. At first that is what I was thinking .. the shake reduction....does rattle when you turn on the camera but not when you just roll it around.....

I would take it to something... that doesn't seem right to me....

it should rattle.. just because.. only when you turn it on and that is only just for a second or two and thats it until you turn you camera on and off again..

When I tilt my K100D Super upside down, I hear a clunking noise too.

It's normal, and it's the sensor moving about.

It's not a rattle, it's a very quiet 'slide-thunk' as you rotate the camera through 90 degrees or more. You might not hear it unless you have it up to your ear. It happens with the K10D too.

It's been discussed before here and elsewhere, and I looked into it quite carefully and described my findings in post #4 on that thread.

the sound when u start the camera is actually not the SR, bur the dust removal system. You can manually set up the dust removal system not to perform every time u on the camera. go to menu n find dust removal system..SR sound i think it sound when ur taking pciture..but is it not an issue for me..love my K100D super..go pentax go..

From this description, it sounds like it could be orientation sensor...?
