Have 3...but, one is about to go bye-bye (K20d). Keeping the K-5 and K-x.

However, limiting to just Pentax DSLR's: thru the years, I've owned a total of 7.

How did I end with 6? Had the K10, so I had to get the K20 when it came out. Was in a camera shop the day the K7 was released and walked out with it. Was over excited about the K5 and preordered it. The K5 was damaged and I needed the K5 for a big job as I had to impress so I bought another one. Insurance then gave me a new K5 instead of fixing the original one. That = 6 (damaged K5 works but dynamic range is greatly reduced, meter over exposes and sometimes colour goes crazy)

I gave my K10D to my brother when I got my K20D, waiting for the price of the K5 to come down a bit more.

K20D and K-x. I tried to upgrade the K-x to a K-5, but the K-5 was a dud (low-lght misfocus). I shipped it back after a couple of weeks. I won't try another K-5, I didn't think it added enough over what I have now.

I'm not sure what to replace the K-x with, but it won't be any of the current bodies. I would have jumped on a K-01, but I cannot buy a camera without a viewfinder. I'm waiting for the new DSLR announcements. I will likely keep the K20D until Pentax releases the K30D, above the K-5 line. I will always own two K-mount bodies.

K10D and K20D, with the former being the backup of the two. My grandson has my k100D Super. I started with an iST-D when I went to digital.

*ist DL - flash not working = no market value so, I keep that and actually use it for repro-work and experiments

K200D - I cannot think of any better camera ever produced over time in its class. Most definitely a keeper - for ever!!!!

K-5 - I actually had a "strategy" as Jools, but they are not easy to get hold of here in my corner of the world, So, price on the K-5 dropped and well.......I suppose I can live with that camera too
