K20D refurb for 500 at Bestbuy Outlet

Saw this link on Dealnews to a refurbished K20D at Bestbuy outlet for $500.00.

I am seriously considering this deal. Is there anything that I should be concerned about. Obviously, I can run down to my local store and visually inspect the camera, as it is only available via their outlet center. Do you think it would be worthy buying the extended service if it is available? Great deal and all, but if 6 months down the road something major goes wrong with it, the 2 or 3 bills I save just isn't worth the headache or my time trying to get it serviced. What to do???

Walmart has the K20D with 3 year for $599. To me, that is a better deal.

You are right. That is a better deal for an extra $100 and it's not a refurb. Peace of mind.

Don't get me wrong, the deal at bestbuy is a great deal too. It just might add up the same once you add the warranty on it.

if i would no where to find them, i would only buy refurbs (and maybe pay the rest of money for some ridiculous extended warranty). usually refurbished (if it is factory refurbished, that is, by pentax) should be as good or better than new. but i admit for 100usd extra i'd just get the new one. you guys are very lucky tu have to worry about such choices
