Right - that can't be emphasized enough. I mean, Pentax always has an advantage over most other companies in that even old manual focus lenses can be used and will meter, and *all* AF lenses made for Pentax work perfectly. But with the D5000, not only are there exposure issues with manual lenses (at least, that's my understanding), but probably more than half of the AF lenses made for Nikon won't focus with it, because the camera lacks the focus motor. If you want AF, you're limited to the relatively smaller (and more expensive) set of lenses with built in focus motors. Between that and the shake reduction of the Pentax, there is really no comparison - the D5000 is a *vastly* more limited camera, and no swiveling of the LCD can make up for that. Beides, DSLR's are meant to be used with a viewfinder, not an LCD - "liveview" is really only for the pretty rare occasions when the viewfinder isn't practical.
