Hmm, is there a minimum post number before you can link photos on this forum?
The link is there, but opening the link explicitly takes you to the Flickr page for the image, not the image itself. I suspect the issue is the type of Flickr link you're using. For instance, the URL for your first image is
Code:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/brisboy/6445230671/
. I don't use flicker, so can't help you get the right link, but other people who use flickr post URLs that look like
Code:
http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7144/6472381139_d590ce5765_b.jpg
(from unartist's post).

A few K-x shots

I use the K-x for landscapes. The lens I use the most is Sigma 10-20.

The pictures are a little washed out when I upload them onto the PF server, but Flickr wasn't letting me sign in for some reason so I just uploaded them here. These last two were more serious, I think she looks like a runway model or something with that face lol.

lastly, i did a bw conversion, thought it would be dramatic haha:

TEEHEE!

(SORRY ABOUT THE SIZE!)

Really nice pics again Brandon! You really caught the jokester in her in the photos. Thanks for something to aim for, for a brutal portrait photographer as myself.

Eagle Season

Every year around this time thousands of Bald Eagles arrive to chow down on the remains of the Salmon run. I counted 22 in a single tree once. I found this guy on my first day out with my new Sigma 70-200 2.8, which I bought just for dull, overcast days like this. This is a pretty tight crop.

K-x w/70-200 @200mm, 1/250, f/4.5 @ ISO 1000 +1.3EV

Great shot.

Is that the new Sigma with OS, or the previous APO EX DG HSM Macro II model? It looks very sharp at 200mm.

Another bird, this time at the opposite end of the size scale compared to an eagle:

K-x, DAL 55-300, 300mm, f10, ISO 1600:

Red-browed Firetail finch

Thanks - it's the now discontinued HSM II model, I think I snagged one of the last in Canada. I've only spent the one day with it but so far so good. It dwarfs the K-x!
