And Now for some Feedback

Mike Cash: Love your work with the TLR, and am a bit envious that you have the time and access to explore such photogenic locales. Much of what I've seen of your work seems to reflect traditional Japanese aesthetic... sort of a clean, focused, minimal composition defined as much by its absences as what is present.

Mikeengstrom: Results are pretty amazing for a laughable setup (i mean that in a kindhearted, props for the DIY way). Something about slide film that has a presence and clarity I've yet to see from colour negative shots. Love the atmosphere and rendering of those gravestone captures.

Mechanicaloptikal: Gritty, high contrast, and well exposed. I've shot quite a few shows where I basically have to ignore the meter and use experience. Never shot above 1600 though. Looks like the Rodinal and scan gave it almost a posterized effect, but even with the contrast, great retention of detail on the faces etc.

Did you share your shots with the band?

Blacksmiths with ME Super

Just got a ME Super and P30t and have my Spotmatic F that needs new light seals and a checkup. Here is a couple of shots from the ME Super from last weekend at Blacksmith Days at the Carroll County Farm Museum near Baltimore. Film is made-in-Japan Rite-aid 200 color film (probably Fujicolor 200?). Both shots were taken with the M 135 f3.5:

Thanks very much. If you got such an impression I guarantee you spent more time thinking about the photos than I did. I just go clickety-clickety on the shutter.

@mehanikaloptikal: Nice gritty shots, very atmospheric!

@jgredline: Nice street shooting.

@Tom in Delaware: Cool reportage shots.

Street shooting with a medium format Zeiss Ikon Nettar folder
Neopan 400 developed in Diafine. They're a bit overexposed because somehow my film order got messed up and this was supposed to be Rollei Retro 100 film but there was one Neopan 400 mixed in with the Rollei Retro so I was guesstimating exposure for 100 ISO instead of 400.

I think they look pretty dang good. You have some great detail in the shadows that I believe would be gone if they where less exposed. That Both the boat shots are fantastic! What lens where you using?

Thanks! It has a 75mm Novar - Anastigmat 1:4.5
The lens is not bad at all I think, the coating is not that good though.

This is a bit better exposed:

Thank you. Yes so far I have not been dissapointed by any of their film.
It is a difficult toss between TriX 400 anf HP5 Plus.
