The fellow you want to talk to is Jon Goodman (formerly interslice in eBay). He is selling via e-mail only last I heard and you will never guess who forgot his e-mail address?

That is what I came up with too after a little searching of the archives.

My camera bag changes regularly depending on my mood, what film I have, where I am going and all that. Recently (as some will have noticed from the BW and colour film threads) I have been having a bit of an ES/ESII phase.

Pentax ES fitted with a SMC Takumar 55/1.8 lens and a Pentax hood (although a K series era one), loaded with B&W film.

Pentax ES II fitted with a S-M-C Takumar 28mm f/3.5 lens and colour film.

S-M-C Takumar 135mm f/3.5 and hood, S-M-C Takumar 200mm f/4 and hood.

Various filters, mainly Pentax and a close-up lens.

Cheers, Kris.

Seems a shame to make the special edition lens the f/2 version, which I hear is substantially inferior to the f/1.7 & f/1.4 50mms. Surely "sport" means it should be faster?

I think "sport" means that the seller has a red lacquer crayon. This kind of customization is easy to do if you have the right tools. (I have both black and white lacquer crayons that I use for touching up the lettering on my lenses and bodies, the most recent being the lettering on the front of my Kiev 4A. I also used the white one to redo the markings on one of my XR Rikenon 50/2. Lettering flaking off is typical for those lenses and a little touch up is very effective!

Steve

(I learned this trick from a local camera repair tech when I was buying a VERY rare white/red-lettered Vivitar 135/2.8...every other one I have seen has white/green...)

(Another trick is to use a black "Sharpie" marker to touch up worn knurling......so much for people buying used lenses from me )
