I like the sound of the 'overhauled' AF system.
Look forward to seeing it perform.
A fine rugged design too. This is a more serious 'entry-level'/enthusiast camera.

I see I am not the only one wondering about a Battery Grip.

Is it me or is the rear dial smaller than 'normal'?

That is one sexy looking camera. The forward leaning, angular pop-up flash gives it the look of a race car.

Or is the rear dial the same size but with a smaller "section" exposed?

I like it. I think it will make a nice backup body.

They have nailed it on this camera (as an entry-midrange model). Even the things I don't like so much (such as the sporty styling), I can see how they work for the target market. Well done Pentax.

Very nice looking camera, great specs for the price point and weather sealed, what's not to like? The blue version even looks good enough that I would actually consider buying it over the standard black, if they are the same price.

No grip

@Chris Trevino
A sales rep. at Pentax Denver said that a battery grip will not be an option

I love it. Great styling, the blue one is very pretty...and did anyone else notice no stupid scene modes on the dial, plus two user modes?

Very cool. I want one.
